
Manufacturing Industry Absorbed 18,25 Million Workers in 2018

The manufacturing industry absorbed 18,25 million workers in 2018. This achievement is able to contribute positively to the total national workforce of 14,72 percent. Data from the Ministry of Industry shows that the absorption of labors in the industrial sector are increased, as seen in the last four periods.
In 2015, the manufacturing industry has opened 15,54 million job vacancies. Then it rose to 15,97 million people in 2016. In 2017, the workforce reached 17.56 million people. In 2018 the total workers has jumped into 18,25 million people.
The Biggest Manpower Absorption Sector
The following sectors are the biggest contributor to the absorption of labors:

- Timber industry, wood and cork goods (9,93%)
