32 AKTI Graduates are Ready to Work in Automotive Manufacturing Industry

Toyota Indonesia Academy (TIA) is an academy established by PT Toyota Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN). On Thursday, August 25th, 2016, TIA held a graduation ceremonial for 32 students majoring in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering Automation. These 32 students finally hold a Diploma, and are ready to work in manufacturing industry.

 

The graduation ceremony was held in the Employee Center, Engine Plant 3 Karawang. This premiere graduation was attended by parents of graduates, representative of Karawang government, Kopertis and Mr. Ando from Gakuen HOMI Toyota Motor Corporation Japan.

 

All graduates took pre education program for 3 months, and a year school period. A total of 40 credits of education curriculum that consists of 20 percent knowledge, 20 percent attitude and 60 percent skill successfully completed. Therefore, the graduates from TIA are ready to compete in the working world and become young professionals who are competent in their respective fields.

 

The Lessons on TIA are covering general knowledge, practice, and cultural industries, which can be used to face competition of human resources development in Indonesia.

 

The commencement conducted by Mr. Afien Wibawa as Director of AKTI, while Medals Competency Certification (Programming, Mechanical and Pneumatic) doing by Mr. Masahiro Nonami as Toyota Indonesia Foundation Board of Trustees.

 

 

Suzuki Donated IDR 4.2 Billion for Education

 

 

 

Afien Wibawa advised that the graduate student can become agents of change in the future work place and be able to apply Sciences Manufacturing Technology in their work place. As well as running discipline, team work and ready to be challenged.

 

Meanwhile, Masahiro Nonami said that Toyota Indonesia concerned with the world of education in Indonesia by establishing Toyota Indonesia Academy. And also trying to establish a link and match between education and industry, the future TMMIN will also continue to support the development of AKTI.

 

Prof.Dr.Ir. Abdul Hakim Halim Msc. as Coordinator of “Kopertis” Region IV very impressed with Toyota Indonesia that have concerned with education in Indonesia. Toyota Indonesia provides outstanding vocational students to continue studying at AKTI. This concept adopted by Toyota fits perfectly with the industrial world and become an example for other companies that exist in Indonesia. Indonesian government also ready to support what was done by Toyota in the matter of education, said Abdul Hakim.
